Free Will
by Sam Harris
Description & Thoughts
Okay, I read this book in almost 6 months ago (at the time of writing this review on 03/2026). Looking back on it, I feel I learnt nothing. The author argues put together some shower thoughts, cited some old research, and called it done. I guess it is pretty short because he doesn’t have enough things to say about this topic, it is even more evident based on how he decides to end the book “I’m hungry, yes, but it also seems that I’ve made my point. In fact, I can’t think of anything else to say on the subject. And where is the freedom in that?”. I think it was predetermined that there is no free-will, so this book was written to find ways to say “hence-proved” in the end.
